The HP ProLiant BL490c Virtualization Blade raises the bar for memory capacity and I/O bandwidth in a half-height blade. Coupling up to 2 Intel Xeon processors with 18 DIMM slots and support for up to 24 NICs, the BL490c gives enterprise data centre managers the ideal server platform for hosting virtual machines. The HP ProLiant BL490c G6 offers maximum processor performance with higher memory capacity and network throughput than any other half-height server blade, with: 18 DIMM slots, supporting up to 144GB of DDR3 memory; Up to two Intel Xeon 5500 Series processors featuring hardware-assisted Intel Virtualization Technology (Intel VT) with capabilities including Extended Page Tables; Two embedded 10 GbE ports for maximum network throughput.
