Unlike any other inkjet printer, the HP Designjet A3+ graphics series offers a combination of total colour accuracy and excellent image quality at fast print speeds for accurate, affordable, full-colour A3+ proofs. It allows production of offset-emulating proofs at 4 mpp, on HP Proofing matte, semi-gloss and gloss media. The bundled user-based software RIP means users can proof graphics at a very affordable price.
Features
The HP Designjet 10ps incorporates standard automatic PANTONE calibration and emulation of the offset industry colour standards (Euroscale, SWOP, DIC, and TOYO) to ensure the most accurate colour matching on any scale. With the HP Designjet 10ps the designer can achieve 100% SWOP coverage when using HP Design Proofing media.
The Designjet 10ps automatic closed loop colour calibration system can correct for differences in the produced colours caused by media, pens, printer and/or environmental conditions. This means that the user can achieve high colour accuracy and produce a colour that is a very good match of the input colour. The user can then repeat this accurate colour with a very high degree of repeatability.
The HP Designjet 10ps and 20ps offer compatibility with Apple ColorSync, the leading standard in the graphics and pre-press industry for colour proofing and color management between the different devices and platforms existing on the designer"s workflow.
A six colour printhead (CMYKcm) with 304 nozzles per color, reproducing a wide gamut of vivid colours. The 304 nozzles together with 1/2 inch print swath gives faster printing speeds in all modes (4mpp in best mode for A3+) and ensures more area is covered with each pass. The Designjet 10ps is also capable of 2400 dpi for high resolution printing. The 4 picoliter ink drop volume reduces visible grain, maintains fine details and gives smooth tonal transitions for continuous tone output.
The Designjet 10ps has a dye-based black ink for true, photo quality black with less ink. This provides true black to graphics and images while maintaining a uniform surface gloss of the print. The dye-based balck ink in the Designjet 10ps is especially benefitial where high image quality and proofing quality are required.
The HP Designjet 10ps and 20ps are compatible with a complete range of printing media from postcard size to A3+ (13 x 19 in) for added flexibility. These include HP Design Proofing gloss, HP Design Proofing semi-gloss and matte, HP Premium photo paper glossy, HP Premium Inkjet paper, HP Design heavyweight paper and HP professional brochure and flyer paper two-sided gloss and matte. 100% SWOP coverage when using HP design proof media.
The HP Designjet 10ps and 20ps incorporate ICC device-specific colour profiles for profiling colour whether you work from Macintosh or Windows. ICC is the international standard for defining device-specific color that adds one more tool to your ability to match colours between platforms, input and output devices.

The HP Designjet 10ps offer the flexibility of interfacing via either a USB port or a standard Centronics parallel port. An HP Jetdirect 610n network card is supported and can be purchased as an accessory.
The modular 6 ink system is composed of 4 x 69ml cartridges (cmYK) and 2 x 28ml cartridges (CM). This reduces intervention, lowers cost per print and cost per cc of ink overall.
