The Sharp MX-M160D Mono All-in-One: Compact & Versatile

Sharp UK has introduced two new A3 monochrome multifunction systems, available with immediate effect. The new 16ppm MX-M160D (and the 20ppm MX-M200D) are aimed at small to medium sized workgroups or businesses. These are compact, versatile A3 black & white multifunction systems and have colour scanning capabilities. Recently-launched by Sharp in the UK, these MFPs are now available from Officemagic at great discount prices, and with a choice of leasing options.

Sharp MX-M160D: Performance, convenience and value for money

Recognising that many organisations continue to look for the cost benefits of using monochrome output for everyday, high volume print, Sharp continues to build sophistication and flexibility in the MX series to cater for this need. Thus, as well as a choice of models and configurations to deliver optimum value for money, these new MFPs incorporate a number of performance-enhancing features that have been taken from Sharp’s top-end machines.

Sharp MX-M160D: Optimising print, copy and collation speed

Included in the system is Sharp’s proprietary Printer Language with Compression (SPLC), which is used to keep print speeds as fast as possible - even on complicated print jobs. In addition, Sharp’s Scan Once/Print Many technology enables faster job completion when copying. What’s more, an E-Sort feature, again included as standard, makes it easy to create multiple sets of sorted documents without the need for a bulky page collator. All this comes within the purchase price of both models.

Sharp MX-M160D: Options and upgrades

The excellent basic configuration of the MX-M160D and the MX-M200D can be further enhanced with the addition of a number of useful extras. A reversing single pass feeder can be specified for easier double-sided scanning and copying; the addition of network scanning capability allows documents to be scanned directly to a PC, FTP server, or any valid email address, and the optional fax kit adds rapid 33,600 bps Super G3 speed on-line transmission of faxes.

Sharp MX-M160D: Environmental issues

Both these MX-M160D and MX-M200D MFP machines are Energy Star Version 1.1 compliant. Additionally, they are housed in a modern exterior with contemporary styling which make them attractive to look and a pleasure to use.
